Christos Rozdajetsja (Christ is born!) on this beautiful Feast of the Nativity of Our Lord, according to the flesh!
Think of it: the infinite God, becoming man like us. The God Who created time entered into our days. The God Who fashioned all nature took upon Himself our human nature.
The Maker of Stars, now a Maker of daily bread and the wine of Cana in Galilee.
The ox and ass, at least, knew enough to bow down at the manifestation of the Son of God as Son of Man.
May I attain to their level of perspicuity.
Though the world knows nothing of the Cave, the wood in silence has heard the sound of a tree falling.
If a tree falls in the woods and there is no one to hear, does it make a sound?
The Christian answer is yes.
