Greetings Fr Tobias
If you cut your teeth on apocalypticism, I cut mine on such "encounter groups" as you mentioned. I have mixed feelings about them now. At the time, the message of God's "unconditional love" was a message I needed to hear. But, that message alone was certainly not enough. Also, as I saw friend after friend live life as if such encounters had never happened (or dualistically spiritualized them to the extent that they had no relevance to their lives), the weakness (and not just the plain old silliness) of such movements became abundantly clear.

Anyway, thanks for yet another excellent post!
