« Fast in secret | Main | Dear Benny Hinn »

Hinn's family is based out of Toronto. When one of his Orthodox family members died, he tried to do the service. Needless to say he was not allowed....

Ugh. I really don't think this dreck qualifies as Christ being preached "whether in pretense or in truth" (Phil. 1:18). More appropriate is Jude's stern description: "For certain men have crept in unnoticed, who long ago were marked our for this condemnation, ungodly men, who turn the grace of our God into lewdness and deny the only Lord God and our Lord Jesus Christ" (v. 4).

The only redeeming thing about this is, if people are so ignorant to think Benny Hinn might be right, they might be ignorant enough to be open to the Truth too. sigh. How will they believe lest someone preaches to them?

I couldn't take it. Bailed at the "so.. there's nine of them!" Speechless.

What can one say?

This seems an appropriate occasion on which to quote the late Frank Sheed:

"It may be heroic faith to believe it, like the man who 'wished there were four of 'em, that he might believe more of 'em'." (from _Theology and Sanity_)

you know Benny is a baptized Orthodox, right? born and raised in Jaffa, Israel.
